Szilvi is a certified Level 2 US Squash Coach and Referee. She is working as the Head Squash Pro in the newly opened YMCA in Marblehead and also the Head Squash Coach of Winsor School in Boston, MA.
Prior of her squash career, Szilvi has been an elite badminton player who represented her native country, Hungary on many occasions. She continued playing on high level after moving to the USA and won a National title in mixed doubles in 2002.
A few injuries forced her to leave the competing level and she decided to pick up another sport. She quickly fell in love with squash and has been on the squash court ever since.
She's been the Head Squash coach at Winsor since 2003. The team and the squash program has improved tremendously under her coaching. She raised the level of participation to maximum and also developed the level of playing. Winsor won their very first league title in 2009-10 season and participated on the US High School Nationals in 2010 for the very first time.
They collected second place in Division 3 and became Division 3 National Champions in 2011!
Szilvi competes herself, she plays for the 4.5 Maugus Men's team in the MA Leagues and represents the Women "A" team for Boston every year at Howe Cup. She has kept badminton as a hobby sport and also trains regularly at CrossFit New England to keep herself fit and strong.
